Magigoo PA: for the nylons that will not stay on the plate.
Nylons are wanted for their strength, toughness and wear resistance, but they are awkward on an FDM printer: they adhere poorly to conventional build surfaces and they warp readily. On top of that the family is wide, and PA6, PA66 and PA12 do not all behave the same, filled and reinforced grades least of all.
Magigoo PA is made for that whole range rather than for one grade. The part should release relatively easily once the plate has cooled, and the residue wipes away with a damp cloth.
Safety.
Using this product with filaments other than PA types can cause over-adhesion and damage your build surface.
Tip.
For larger prints a 20 mm brim is recommended. If a part grips too hard, wet the bed with a little water and work it slowly under the part to ease it off.
- Shake. Shake the bottle.
- Apply. Press the nib on the bed to open the inner valve and spread over the printing area.
- Print. Print to the filament and printer manufacturer recommendations.
- Cool. Let the plate cool. The print should come off on its own.
- Clean. Wipe the residue off with a damp cloth.
